Movers and Packers in Sharjah

Apartment, Villa and Furniture Moves — and Moves Between Sharjah and Dubai

Delight Movers UAE are movers and packers in Sharjah for apartments, villas and furniture — from central towers in Al Majaz, Al Khan and Al Taawun to new communities like Aljada, Muwaileh and Al Zahia. Sharjah moves depend on building access, tenancy attestation and SEWA, and many cross into Dubai on busy roads — so we plan all of it before moving day.

Sharjah essentials

Tenancy attestation

Sharjah City Municipality attests tenancy contracts. Through the Digital Sharjah Move In service, the landlord uploads the contract and you sign with UAE Pass. The attestation fee is a percentage of the annual rent (published guides quote 4% for homes, with a minimum) — agree with your landlord who pays it before you sign.

SEWA connection

Once the contract is attested, SEWA sends a text with the deposit amount, and your electricity, water and gas connect after payment. The deposit depends on the unit type — published guides list about AED 500 for a studio up to AED 2,000 for a two-bedroom flat. SEWA confirms your exact amount.

Moving out

Ask SEWA for a final reading on your last day, settle the final bill and get the clearance certificate — your deposit is refunded after that, and the next tenant can't connect until your account is closed.

Building access

Book the move and service lift with building management — older towers can have limited lift access.

Moving to or from Dubai?

Handle paperwork in both emirates: Ejari and DEWA on the Dubai side, attestation and SEWA in Sharjah.

Access and timing

Moving Between Sharjah and Dubai: Routes and Timing

Most Sharjah–Dubai moves cross the busiest commuter corridor in the UAE, and Dubai limits trucks on each of the three main roads. We choose the road by the clock, not just the map.

Moving truck on the Sharjah–Dubai road
01

Al Ittihad Road (E11)

The direct commuter road, and slow towards Dubai from about 7am. Dubai keeps trucks off Al Ittihad Road on its side, so loaded moving trucks use the other two roads.

02

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311)

Dubai bans trucks between Ras Al Khor Street and Sharjah from 6:30–8:30am, 1–3pm and 5:30–8pm. We drive it outside those windows.

03

Emirates Road (E611)

Open to trucks most of the day, but closed towards Sharjah between Al Awir Street and the border from 5:30–8pm. Often the easiest truck route for the newer communities on Sharjah’s eastern side.

04

Inside Sharjah

Sharjah also keeps heavy trucks off city roads in the morning and afternoon peaks, with different hours during Ramadan. Early starts beat both the commute and the summer heat.

05

Avoid Month-End

Many leases end at month-end, when lifts and roads are busiest. Mid-month weekdays give the widest choice of dates and lift slots.

Truck rules change. We check the current Dubai RTA and Sharjah rules when we plan your date.

Local problems

What Makes Moving in Sharjah Difficult — and How Do You Plan Around It?

Most Sharjah moving days go wrong at the kerb or the lift, not in the truck. These are the problems we check for at every Sharjah survey.

Parking

Nowhere for the truck to stand

Streets in Al Majaz, Al Khan, Al Taawun and Al Nahda are packed, and blue-sign zones charge every day, Fridays included. Ask building security where a truck may stop to load — we confirm it at the survey so the crew isn’t carrying from two streets away.

Measure first

One small lift for the whole tower

Many older towers in Al Qasimia, Al Nahda and Al Majaz have a single small lift shared with residents. We measure it, dismantle wardrobes and beds to fit, and you book a lift slot at both ends.

Stairs

Low-rise blocks with no lift

Some older buildings in central Sharjah have no lift at all. Tell us the floor — stair carries need a bigger crew and more time, and both are written on your quote.

Paperwork first

No power on arrival

SEWA connects only after your contract is attested and the deposit is paid. Fix your move-in date after that, or you arrive to a flat with no electricity or AC.

Month-end

Several moves on one day

When leases end, buildings can have several moves booked on the same day. Book your lift slot early, or move mid-month.

East coast

Moving From Sharjah City to Khor Fakkan, Kalba or Dibba Al-Hisn

Sharjah’s east-coast towns are part of Sharjah, but they sit on the other side of the Hajar Mountains. We plan these moves like a long-distance move.

Sharjah–Khorfakkan Road

Typical

89 km

The road starts at the Dafta interchange near Masafi and crosses the mountains to Khor Fakkan.

Tunnels on the road

Typical

5 tunnels

The longest, the Sidra tunnel, is about 2.7 km. Tunnels close from time to time for maintenance — we check notices before your date.

Sharjah rules

Tenancy and utilities

Tenancy attestation follows Sharjah’s rules. Utilities are usually SEWA, but some inland Sharjah areas are served by EtihadWE — check your landlord’s last bill.

Oman

Dibba Al-Baya

Across from Dibba Al-Hisn is Oman. A move there is an international move with customs at the border, quoted separately.

FAQs About Movers in Sharjah

Do you move from Sharjah to Dubai?

Yes. We plan Sharjah–Dubai moves around routes, truck rules and paperwork in both emirates.

How do I attest my tenancy contract in Sharjah?

Through the Digital Sharjah Move In service: the landlord uploads the contract, you sign with UAE Pass and Sharjah City Municipality attests it.

How do I connect SEWA when I move in?

Once your contract is attested, SEWA sends the deposit notice; your connection is activated after payment.

Do you move furniture only?

Yes — single items or full sets, dismantled, moved and reassembled.

Can you move in older buildings with small lifts?

Yes. We check lift sizes at the survey and dismantle or carry items as needed.

What’s the best time to move between Sharjah and Dubai?

An early start, outside Dubai’s truck windows on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (6:30–8:30am, 1–3pm and 5:30–8pm), and away from month-end. Weekends usually have lighter commuter traffic.

Why hasn’t SEWA connected my new flat yet?

SEWA connects only after Sharjah Municipality has attested your tenancy contract and you have paid the deposit from the SEWA text. If the previous tenant hasn’t closed their account, ask your landlord to chase it.

Where does the moving truck park in Sharjah?

Ask your building security or management where a truck may stop to load. In paid zones the normal parking rules apply. We check the spot at the survey and plan the crew around the distance to the lift.

Can you move us from Sharjah city to Khor Fakkan or Kalba?

Yes. We plan the mountain crossing, the tunnels and the timing, and the paperwork stays under Sharjah’s rules.

How can I spot a reliable moving company?

Ask for a registered company, a survey-based written quote, transit insurance options and a clear damage process. See how to check a moving company before you pay.

How much do movers in Sharjah cost?

It depends on home size and volume, packing, access and distance. You get a fixed quote after a free survey; for Sharjah–Dubai moves, fuel and tolls are part of the quoted price. See will the price change on moving day?
