Permits and paperwork
Register your tenancy, connect your utilities and book your move with building or community management.
Tenancy contracts in RAK are registered through RAK Municipality’s Sanad portal, with UAE Pass login. The fee is a percentage of the annual rent plus a small application fee, and approval is usually quick — but register before you book the movers, because EtihadWE needs the registered contract.
Etihad Water & Electricity serves Ras Al Khaimah. Moving in? Activate your account with your attested tenancy contract and Emirates ID. Moving out? Request the final bill and clearance certificate.
Communities such as Al Hamra Village and Mina Al Arab may ask you to book the move with management — check their form and hours early.
Close your Dubai tenancy (Ejari) and DEWA account as you move out.
Access and timing
A little planning avoids delays on longer inter-emirate moves.

RAK Police keep heavy trucks off main and internal roads and out of neighbourhoods during the morning and early-afternoon school runs. We time loading and arrival outside those windows.
Heavy rain can close roads and wadis around the mountains — we watch the forecast and reschedule if needed.
Al Hamra, Mina Al Arab and Al Marjan Island sit on the water. Wood and electronics are wrapped against moisture, and nothing waits outside in the sun.
The Dubai end of the move is timed around Dubai’s truck restrictions.
Most apartment moves within RAK take a day; villas can take one to two days.
How it works
A clear plan from survey to the last box unpacked.
In person or by video — we check volume, access, lifts and anything that needs crating.
A written quote, crew size and truck plan for your moving window.
You register the tenancy and book with your building; we supply our licence, truck and crew details.
Room-by-room packing, with floors, lifts and corridors protected before anything moves.
Loading in sequence, transport, reassembly and placement to your plan, with packing waste removed.
Moving-day timing
A Dubai–RAK move runs under two sets of truck rules and a long drive in between. This is how we usually plan the day — your quote shows the actual plan.
Inside your building’s permitted hours and your service-lift slot. Most of the day’s risk is here, so the lift booking is confirmed in writing.
Dubai bans trucks on Sheikh Zayed Road during the day and on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road at peak hours, so the loaded truck usually heads north on Emirates Road (E611).
RAK keeps heavy trucks out of neighbourhoods during the morning and early-afternoon school runs, so we time the arrival around them.
Furniture goes in to your room plan, beds and wardrobes are reassembled, and we walk through the home with you before the crew leaves.
A large villa or a villa with a lot of outdoor items is often split over two days, so nothing is rushed at the end of a long drive.
Local problems
RAK’s communities are spread out along the coast and the mountains. These are the issues we check for at the survey.
Al Hamra Village, Mina Al Arab and Al Marjan Island are managed communities. Ask management whether they need a move permit, a gate pass for the truck or set moving hours — and get it in writing.
Residential towers on Al Marjan Island sit among hotels and holiday homes, and some set fixed loading times. Ask management for the service-lift and loading-bay rules and book both together.
A move from Al Hamra to Khuzam or Al Dhait is a proper drive, not a short hop. Distance is part of the quote, so give us both full addresses.
Some older villas and low-rise buildings in RAK city have narrow lanes and no lift. We check truck access and carry distance at the survey.
