Weekend move plan
Close on Friday, open on Monday. Small and many medium offices can move over one weekend, provided the after-hours approvals are in place at both buildings; larger offices may move in phases. Many towers allow evening and weekend moves only with separate permission, so we request it when we book the lift slots.
Your coordinator books the after-hours permit, service lifts and loading bays at both offices, and sends our company documents, truck and crew details for the forms.

Office move admin
The furniture is the easy part. The paperwork runs in a fixed order — each step needs the one before it, so a late Ejari can hold up everything that follows.
On the Dubai mainland the new office lease is registered in Ejari first. Your trade licence address can't be changed without it.
Apply through the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) portal with UAE Pass. Regulated activities may need an approval from their authority first, and a smaller office can lower the number of visas your licence allows.
Request the DEWA move-in once the new Ejari is issued, and register separately with the building's district cooling provider. Keep the old office's power on until its final inspection.
Ask e& or du to shift your business lines about four weeks ahead, with the new Makani number. Late requests are the main reason offices open without internet.
Change your address with the Federal Tax Authority on EmaraTax, on your establishment card and with MOHRE, then tell your bank. The FTA sets a deadline for notifying changes, so don't leave it for later.
Clear service charges, get the landlord's NOC for the move-out permit, and restore the space to the condition your lease requires — often original or shell-and-core — before the deposit is released.
Free zones
Free zone companies change their address with the free zone authority, not DET — and each authority adds its own conditions.
For a physical unit, the address amendment follows the lease or Ejari, a completed fit-out and the unit's Operational Fitness Certificate. You can't move to a smaller unit if your current visas exceed its quota. Flexi desks need fewer documents.
Fit-out works in the new office need a DIFC Authority NOC, usually through the building's management office, and move permits go through DIFC facilities management. Confirm the registered-address change with the DIFC Registrar.
Leaving a JAFZA office or warehouse usually means removing your furnishings and restoring the premises to their original condition — plan dismantling and disposal into the move.
DAFZA, TECOM zones (Internet City, Media City), Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai South each run their own portal. Ask the authority for the lease, fit-out and amendment steps before you sign the new lease.
